FIJI - The Fiji Co-operative Dairy Company Ltd (FCDCL) today announced a first-ever life insurance package of $10,000 for dairy farmers together with a Vodafone package offered for farmers who are its prepaid customers.
"This new landmark initiative will assist dairy farmers in their performance as it provides greater security and encourages increased investment in their farms," company CEO Sachida Nand said in respect of the life insurance package.
According to The Fiji Times, the life insurance package, offered by Fiji Care Insurance, includes a life and funeral cover, a personal injury cover and a fire cover, and the Vodafone package includes triple-up every time a farmer who has joined the group recharges and free calls.
Mr Nand specifically thanked Fiji Care for its support in this initiative and also acknowledged Vodafone for the benefits availed to farmers.
